Order Info

Small (4-6 servings) and medium cakes (10-12 servings) are available on a walk-in basis. Some of our items such as large cakes (18-20 servings), whole cheesecakes and cookie baskets must always be ordered in advance (generally a 1-2 days ahead, but much more for holidays).  Selection and availability vary however, so we suggest pre-ordering. Writing on Cakes

If you would like an inscription, please notify us at the time of placing your advance order. Writing on cakes is not always available on walk-in service. There is no charge for an inscription.

Ordering in advance

Generally, 1-2 days is sufficient notice to place a dessert order, with the exception of major holidays, such as Easter, Mother’s day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. The amount of notice varies depending on the holiday. Every year we seem to get a little busier, so please call ahead to find out the appropriate amount of time to place an order. We will start taking Thanksgiving orders starting November 1st and Christmas orders starting December 1st. For the best selection order 1.5-2 weeks in advance.

Deposits

A 50% deposit is required on orders over $100 (special orders may also require a deposit). Deposits are refundable if cancellations are made 24 hours in advance of the order.

Picking up your order

Due to the popularity of the café in the evening, we ask that you place orders and make pickups prior to 7pm. We do not have delivery service, but you can contact us and we can recommend a courier. It can be more challenging to park on busy nights & weekends. At peak hours, there is often a line to enter the shop due to reaching maximum capacity. Take in consideration that mornings are typically quieter than evenings.

Refrigeration

In the warmer weather, you should keep your cakes cold. If traveling for a long period of time, keep your cake in a cooler or use ice packs.

In colder weather, 40° or lower, cakes with butter cream can travel much longer (if kept cold, approximately 1- 2 hours). Consider travel time with mousse cakes and whip-cream-topped cakes, which tend to be more delicate.

Some desserts will travel better than others, but keep in mind that there are no preservatives or stabilizers in our pastry. Warmer temperatures will cause shorter shelf life and decreased quality of your dessert.

We sell insulated bags that keep product cold for 2-3 hours, longer if used with ice packs.

Special/ Custom Orders

We take great pride in creating consistently delicious desserts. Unfortunately, due to limited space and time we are not able to create custom cakes or wedding cakes. We can make slight variations on the cakes that we already have on our menu. Feel free to give us a call to see if we can work towards something you have in mind.
